JOB TITLE: Associate Scientist

DEPARTMENT: Research and Development

SUPERVISOR’S JOB TITLE: Group Leader

JOB SCOPE/ SUMMARY:

- Develop new technology/ product and refine existing products

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Lead new product/technology development project
- Lead existing product improvement project to improve CR & ML rating
- Lead Material Science Savings projects Initiate scouting of technologies for Architectural Coating
- Participation in BPRC Ideation Program
- Conduct competitive benchmarking product analyses and develop product development strategies.
- Define test parameters, including areas not previously investigated
- Train and monitor the performance of Chemists & Lab Technicians
- Provide technical guidance to Research and Development Chemists & Lab Technicians as needed
- Communicate cross-functionally within the organization
