Reports To:Chef de Partie

Job Summary:
As a Commis 1 Chef, you will assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of Indian dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and contribute to a positive dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Food Preparation**: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables and measuring spices.
- **Cooking**: Execute cooking techniques for Indian dishes, such as curries, biryanis, and tandoor items, under the guidance of senior chefs.
- **Quality Control**: Ensure that all food items meet the restaurant's quality standards in taste and presentation.
- **Cleanliness and Safety**: Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety and hygiene standards.
- **Inventory Management**: Help manage kitchen inventory by monitoring stock levels and notifying the Chef de Partie of shortages.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service during busy periods.
- **Learning and Development**: Continuously improve cooking skills and knowledge of Indian cuisine, techniques, and ingredients.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in Indian cuisine.
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations.
- Strong passion for cooking and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant culinary certification is a plus.

Working Conditions:

- Fast-paced kitchen environment.
- May require long hours, including evenings and weekends.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
