**About the Role**

At Coherent we are building technology that will change the way business people work with IT to manage complex rules and logic at cloud scale. We use cutting edge tech like FaaS/Lambda and server-side WebAssembly in a multi-tenant environment. We are looking for a DevOps engineers that want to be part of an international SaaS player that is rapidly expanding into new markets and industries.

**Now you may be wondering what your day-to-day will look like. You will...**
- Design and develop a highly scalable cloud infrastructure to support Function as a Service (FaaS) across hundreds of CPUs
- Ensure adherence to all development & security standards
- Enhance system architecture for scalability and availability
- Deploy new systems with best practices and security
- Ensure high quality monitoring coverage
- Contribute to software architecture and best practices
- Diagnose system behaviour and suggest improvements
- Participate in an agile development cycle, write documentation, perform code reviews, and mentor others
- Work with a team of uniquely talented engineers who love learning, experimenting, and pushing the limits

**What experience and attributes we think you need to get the job done...**
- Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent
- 3-5+ years of technical experience in DevOps or similar role supporting large scale production systems
- Understanding of security best practices
- Interest in learning the business flow of software plus some experience in coding
- Knowledge or experience in computer networks
- DevOps process involves a lot of development, testing, and deployment technologies for developing automated CI/CD pipelines. You will need to know technologies such as:

- GitHub Actions or CircleCI
- Kubernetes or Docker Compose
- Shell script or Python
- Experience in cloud (AWS or Azure) and IaC
- Ability in explaining your technical decision

**Nice to Have**
- Exposure in FaaS such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions
- Experience with WebAssembly (WASM)
- Knowledge or experience covering library usage, testing, build, deployment, in the ecosystem of:

- .Net Core
- TypeScript
- Node.js
