As a Steward, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of the dining and kitchen areas. Your responsibilities will revolve around ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests and supporting the kitchen staff. Below are some key job responsibilities you may include in an Indeed job post for a Steward position:

- **Cleaning and Sanitization**:Clean and sanitize all dining tables, chairs, and condiment stations before and after each guest use.

Ensure proper sanitation and hygiene standards are met in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Clean and polish glassware, silverware, and dishes to maintain a presentable appearance.
Regularly clean and maintain floors, carpets, and other surfaces to ensure a tidy environment.
- **Table Setting and Preparation**:Set up dining tables with clean linens, utensils, napkins, and other necessary items before each meal service.

Arrange table decorations and settings to create an inviting atmosphere for guests.
- **Assistance to Kitchen Staff**:Assist kitchen staff by collecting and delivering food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate tables.

Support the kitchen team in the plating and garnishing of dishes to ensure they are presented attractively.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain smooth communication and ensure efficient service.
- **Dishwashing and Maintenance**:Operate commercial dishwashers to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, and utensils.

Organize and store clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in their designated places.
Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in accordance with disposal guidelines.
- **Guest Service and Interaction**:Greet guests, answer questions about menu items, and provide recommendations when requested.

Assist in seating guests, taking reservations, and managing waiting lists during peak times.
Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a courteous and professional manner.
- **Inventory and Stock Control**:Monitor and restock dining area supplies, such as napkins, condiments, and utensils.

Assist in inventory management by keeping track of stock levels and notifying management when supplies are running low.
- **Event Support**:Provide assistance during special events, banquets, and private parties by setting up and arranging event spaces.

Support event service staff in ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction during gatherings.
- **Cleaning Equipment Maintenance**:Regularly clean and maintain kitchen equipment, dishwashers, and other tools to ensure their proper functioning.

Report any equipment issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel for prompt resolution.
- **Adherence to Safety Regulations**:Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents, maintain cleanliness, and ensure a safe work environment.

Participate in safety training and comply with all safety protocols and procedures.
- **Team Collaboration**:Work collaboratively with fellow stewards, waitstaff, chefs, and management to ensure seamless operations.
- **Flexibility**:Be adaptable and willing to assist in various tasks as needed to support the overall functioning of the establishment.

**Salary**: Up to ₹18,000.00 per month
