**Role: Associate, Front Office**
**Job Overview**: As a Front Office Coordinator in a hospital setting, you will play a crucial role in providing a positive and efficient experience for patients, visitors, and staff. You will be responsible for managing front desk operations, handling inquiries, and facilitating smooth communication between various departments within the hospital.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Patient Reception**:
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Register new patients and update existing patient information.
- Provide necessary information about hospital services, facilities, and procedures.
- **Appointment Scheduling**:
- Manage appointment schedules for various departments.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure timely and accurate scheduling.
- Remind patients of upcoming appointments and provide necessary instructions.
- **Communication Hub**:
- Relay messages to appropriate personnel and ensure effective communication within the hospital.
- Handle and redirect patient complaints or concerns to the appropriate department.
- **Documentation and Record-Keeping**:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Handle medical records requests in accordance with privacy regulations.
- Assist in the completion of administrative forms and paperwork.
- **Insurance Verification**:
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Coordinate with insurance providers to obtain necessary authorizations.
- Assist patients with insurance-related queries and concerns.
- **Cash Handling**:
- Collect payments, issue receipts, and maintain cash registers.
- Coordinate with billing and finance departments to ensure accurate financial transactions.
- **Hospital Information Resource**:
- Stay informed about hospital policies, procedures, and services.
- Provide information about local amenities, transportation, and lodging to patients and visitors.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Proven experience in a front office or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is advantageous.
**Working Conditions**:
- Work hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the hospital's operational needs.
- Interaction with patients and staff in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
**Salary**: ₹240,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
