**Description**:
The Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment (ATREE) is hiring for an exciting position in the communication team
- Creative content writer

**Responsibilities**:

- Writing and editing stories/articles for media print collaterals like newsletters, annual reports and press releases
- Breakdown research papers in a clear narrative style that is palatable for external audiences
- Brainstorm with creative team to develop and pitch ideas forconservation campaigns
- Create video scripts for short films/ reels
- Storyboarding knowledge
- Understanding the effectiveness and appropriateness of story assets (text, images, audio, video) and how to combine them
- Visual, audio and video content creation experience; well-developed eye/ear for best practices in each
- Ability to connect with the various programmes across ATREE to produce strategic and compelling stories
- Crafting editorial calendars and in re-purposing stories across platforms.

**Qualifications**:

- Creative writer with a flair for storytelling
- Good understanding of environment and conservation sector.
- Editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent understanding of content marketing and social media
- Working knowledge of AV equipment for capturing stills, recording video stories, facilitating podcasts.
- Conversant with MS Office and Canva; any design skills with the Adobe Suite would be considered a plus point
- A creative mindset and the ability to work well under pressure, completing tasks efficiently, and handling deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in English/Journalism/ Communications/creative writing or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant writing, storytelling, and content-creation across print and digital platforms. Exceptional writing, research, and communication skills
