**ob Summary**:
The Eye OT Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care during ophthalmic surgeries and procedures. This includes pre-operative preparation, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative care in the Operation Theatre (OT) setting. The nurse ensures sterile conditions, assists the ophthalmic surgeon, and provides critical support to maintain patient safety and comfort.

**Key Responsibilities:Pre-Operative Duties**:

- Prepare the OT for surgeries, ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready.
- Verify patient identity and surgical site in coordination with the surgical team.
- Ensure informed consent is obtained and documented.
- Assist in positioning the patient correctly on the operating table.
- Conduct pre-operative assessments (e.g., checking vitals, allergies, medical history).

**Intra-Operative Duties**:

- Assist the ophthalmic surgeon with instruments and supplies during surgery (e.g., cataract, glaucoma, retinal surgeries).
- Maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to any emergencies in coordination with the anesthetist or medical officer.
- Document all intra-operative details accurately.

**Post-Operative Duties**:

- Assist in the safe transfer of patients from OT to recovery area.
- Monitor post-op vital signs and alert physician for any complications.
- Provide post-operative eye care and administer prescribed medications.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative instructions and follow-up care.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Diploma or B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registered Nurse with the State Nursing Council
- 1-2 years of experience in OT nursing; prior experience in ophthalmology preferred.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures related to eye surgeries.
- Excellent communication, observation, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to maintain sterility and follow infection control protocols.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
