**JOB DESCRIPTION OF A TAILOR**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Garment Construction and Customization**:

- Work closely with fashion designers to construct garments from sketches, patterns, and prototypes.
- Create, modify, and fit bespoke pieces, including high-end dresses, suits, gowns, and custom clothing for fashion collections.
- Handcraft or machine-sew garments to the highest quality, following brand specifications and design concepts.
- **Alterations and Fit Adjustments**:

- Conduct detailed fittings with models and clients to ensure garments fit impeccably.
- Make precise alterations based on measurements, design adjustments, or customer feedback.
- **Pattern Making and Cutting**:

- Translate design sketches into patterns and templates.
- Cut fabrics according to pattern dimensions with precision, ensuring mínimal fabric waste and accurate garment assembly.
- **Working with Fabrics and Materials**:

- Handle a variety of fabrics (e.g., silk, lace, wool, leather, sequins) and specialized materials used in high fashion.
- Understand fabric behavior's and use the appropriate techniques for stitching and finishing delicate or challenging materials.
- **Garment Finishing and Embellishments**:

- Add finishing touches to garments, including hems, lining, embroidery, or hand-sewn embellishments like beads and sequins.
- Ensure that all garments are ironed, pressed, and presented in a polished, professional manner.
- **Quality Control and Design Collaboration**:

- Work with the design and production teams to ensure the final garment meets design standards and quality expectations.
- Offer suggestions on improving garment construction techniques or fabric choices for better results.
- **Fashion Show and Client Preparation**:

- Assist with last-minute fittings and alterations before runway shows, client fittings, or editorial shoots.
- Prepare garments for photo shoots, fashion shows, and presentations by ensuring they fit models perfectly.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a tailor, particularly in the fashion industry or high-end/bespoke tailoring.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques and high-fashion craftsmanship.
- Expertise in working with luxury fabrics and specialized materials.
- Ability to take accurate measurements and deliver precise, custom-fit garments.
- Excellent hand-sewing skills and proficiency with industrial sewing machines.
- Knowledge of pattern-making, draping, and garment alteration processes.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality workmanship.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Formal training in fashion design, tailoring, or related fields.
- Experience working with luxury fashion houses, designers, or on high-end couture.
- Familiarity with fashion trends and the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
