**Role Overview**:
As an **Intensivist** at VR Revankar Hospital, you will play a crucial role in managing critically ill patients in the **Intensive Care Unit (ICU)**. You will be responsible for providing advanced critical care, handling medical emergencies, and ensuring high standards of patient management. You will collaborate with a **multidisciplinary team** to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care.
**Key Responsibilities:1. ICU Patient Management**
- Supervise and manage **critically ill patients**, including those on mechanical ventilation, dialysis, and advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
- Perform and oversee **critical care procedures** such as intubation, central venous catheterization, arterial line insertion, and ultrasound-guided interventions.
- Monitor and optimize patient conditions through **continuous assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning**.
**2. Emergency & Essential Care**
- Respond to **code blue and rapid response team calls**, ensuring immediate stabilization and advanced life support interventions.
- Provide emergency care in **cardiac arrests, respiratory failures, sepsis, and polytrauma cases**.
- Collaborate with the **emergency department** to ensure smooth ICU admissions and transfers.
**3. Preventive & Quality Care**
- Implement **infection control measures** and ensure adherence to ICU protocols and guidelines.
- Participate in **clinical audits, morbidity & mortality meetings**, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Educate and train ICU staff on **advanced life support (ALS), basic life support (BLS), and sepsis management**.
**4. Collaboration & Communication**
- Work closely with **consultants, surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing teams** for comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain clear documentation and update families on **patient conditions and treatment plans**.
- Assist in policy development for **ICU best practices and evidence-based protocols**.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- **MD/DNB in Critical Care, Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, or Pulmonology** with relevant ICU experience.
- Certification in **Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)** preferred.
- Proficiency in **critical care procedures and emergency management**.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and decision-making skills.
