We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Appointment Scheduler to join our
healthcare team. As an Appointment Scheduler, you will be responsible for managing
the scheduling of patient appointments, ensuring a seamless and efficient process. This
is an entry-level position ideal for freshers who are enthusiastic about beginning a
career in healthcare administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments by phone or through electronic systems.
- Confirm and remind patients of upcoming appointments.
- Maintain and update patient records with accurate contact and appointment information.
- Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other medical staff to align
appointment schedules.
- Answer and respond to patient inquiries about appointments, billing, and other services.
- Assist with patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a smooth flow in the waiting area.
- Handle rescheduling, cancellations, and emergency appointments promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information according to HIPAA regulations.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Efficient in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing appointments.
- Attention to Detail: Accurate in entering and updating patient information and scheduling data.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ability to quickly learn medical scheduling software.
- Customer Service Orientation: Friendly and patient demeanor with a focus on delivering a positive patient experience.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Capable of handling scheduling conflicts and patient concerns effectively.
- Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, processes, and policies.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent.
- No prior experience is required; training will be provided.
- Previous experience in customer service or administrative roles is a plus.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology is advantageous but not necessary.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
