Job Description: Shopify Front-end & Back-end Website Designer/Developer

We are a growing e-commerce team on the hunt for a talented Shopify Front-end & Back-end Website Designer/Developer We are seeking someone who is passionate about design and development and has a strong understanding of the Shopify platform and web design and development principles. In this role, you'll get to put your design and development skills to the test and be a part of our mission to improve the customer experience for our clients. We're looking for someone who can bring their creativity and technical skills to the table and help us take our websites to the next level.

**Responsibilities**:

- Translate requirements and mock-ups into fully functioning responsive Shopify websites using HTML/CSS/Liquid/JS utilizing best practices that drive sales
- Design and develop Shopify themes
- Make sure our websites are search engine optimized and accessible
- Develop and customize Shopify websites, including bespoke themes and existing templates
- Enhance UI/UX design and update current websites with new features
- Optimize the online store for efficiency and functionality by integrating with marketing tools, platform APIs, and Shopify apps
- Debug and test websites regularly to improve performance
- Provide technical support and coordination to prevent failures
- Increase conversion rates by optimizing the website
- Collaborate with our amazing marketing and e-commerce team, including UI/UX designers, project managers, and marketing specialists, to bring our company's vision to life

**Requirements**:

- A strong proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Liquid
- 3+ years of front-end development experience in the Shopify ecosystem and possess good UI/UX and design sense with the ability to fill in the "gaps" not addressed in static mockups to create a fluid responsive experience identifying any potential UI/UX issues not addressed in the design
- Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but not required. Your portfolio will do the speaking for you however
- Proven skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, and a thorough understanding of the DOM
- Previous experience working with custom themes and the Storefront API
- In-depth knowledge of Liquid templating and Shopify's theming system
- Experience with implementing and debugging third-party Shopify apps
- Knowledge of vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, ES2015/ES6, and current JavaScript frameworks
- Familiarity with Shopify's object/properties, AJAX API, and Meta fields
- Ability to test and debug using browser console and other tools
- Experience developing responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
- Working knowledge of third-party services, APIs, and Shopify plugins
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide proactive feedback
- A portfolio that showcases your ability to design visually appealing, user-friendly e-commerce websites on the Shopify platform. Your portfolio must showcase responsive websites that look great on mobile, tablet and desktop
- Thorough understanding of Adobe Photoshop, and experienced in sizing images for the web and use of content servers for image delivery
- Ability to create code via workable prototypes
- Knowledgeable about Minification, Lazy Loading, and other techniques for increasing page speed
- Ability to resolve performance issues

**Salary**: ₹400,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
