Job Profile_

Job Summary

TERI is seeking to engage a Project Advisor to advise on a project focused on policy and regulatory framework, pilot implementations, technical studies and training & capacity building for Energy Storage Systems (ESS) at the distribution level in India. The role of the project advisor requires advising TERI team, as detailed hereinafter.

Key Responsibilities:

- Advise on planning and implementation of energy storage at distribution level, especially regarding decentralized energy storage options
- Provide oversight and guidance for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) demonstration project(s) with DISCOMs.
- Advise and guide technical studies for integration of BESS at the distribution level.
- Advise on policy recommendations.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to the team

15 - 20 Years
- Qualification_
- Bachelor-s degree in electrical engineering / Master-s degree in electrical engineering / business administration / Renewable Energy.
- Minimum 30 years of experience spanning central government/central public sector undertaking(s) and research organizations in power and renewable energy sector.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a project advisor/guide in RE projects.
- Skills_
- In-depth understanding of power and renewable energy (RE) sector as well as energy storage systems in India.
- In-depth understanding of India-s energy policies and regulations
- in the context of integration of ESS at the distribution level
- Knowledge of RE technologies
- grid integration
- and techno-economic assessments.
- Rich experience in review of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs)
- feasibility studies
- and implementation roadmaps for RE and ESS projects.
