Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Leads the development and implementation of personalized experiences in core marketing automation platforms to automate and optimize customer journeys, build and sustain presence in digital channels and increase revenue and profitability.
- Collaborates with sales, marketing, and analytics teams to ensure successful integration of marketing automation as part of the overall customer experience.
- Translates customer journey maps into technical use-cases to author and execute business requirements into core automation platforms.
- Oversees user testing and quality assurance processes to ensure quality and integrity of automated programs.
- Partners with analytics to establish and monitor execution metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) and to perform performance analysis to improve digital marketing outcomes.
- Liaises with technology teams to define and implement new platform features and integrations to successfully deliver and improve marketing automation and reporting capabilities.
- Researches and applies the most current digital marketing knowledge and practices to improve marketing automation performance.

Additional Responsibilities
- Deep domain expertise in marketing automation, with extensive experience in HTML coding, working knowledge of SQL query development, and API integration.
- Extensive experience in the use of marketing automation technology (Adobe, Eloqua, Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Pardot, etc.) to deliver personalized, omni-channel campaigns and journeys.
- Experience leveraging dynamic content to support A/B and multi-variate testing across digital and traditional channels.
- Strong data processing, and data management skills, with proven ability to define and act upon data-driven insights.
- Ability to author early-stage use-case requirements.
- Superior problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and strong process documentation abilities.
- Ability to work cross functionally at all levels of the organization. Highly skilled in issue resolution, negotiation, and consensus building. Strong relationship building, coaching, and communication skills.

Position Summary:
Nuveen’s Marketing Analytics organization is focused on turbo-charging distribution through digital and analytics capabilities across sales, service, marketing, and product. We are focused on:

- establishing a deep understanding of our business and clients through customer research and analytics to redefine the ‘metrics that matter
- building data-driven sales and marketing practices enabled by segmentation and prescriptive modeling to target and serve financial advisors based on their needs and preferences
- developing scalable engagement models incorporating digital to enhance our effectiveness, productivity, relevance and return on investment
- expanding digital capabilities to deliver a distinctive, omni-channel client experience seamlessly integrating digital and human interactions

This role is part of the team responsible for developing Nuveen’s sales and marketing analytics capabilities aligning to our distribution strategy and enhancing the effectiveness of sales and marketing engagement. They will collaborate across the Global Distribution, Product, Marketing, Client Servicing and Technology teams and are part of a team of onshore and offshore analytics resources.

Functional Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive analysis framework to enable clear understanding and interpretation of sales and marketing data, KPI’s and metrics from various platforms and sources
- Establish robust multivariate testing capabilities across our digital platforms and consult teams on results of tests to improve outcomes
- Develop approaches to address complex business and measurement challenges
- Build and deploy marketing attribution models
- Execute measurement focused on sales and marketing effectiveness to drive campaign performance
- Create cohorts of clients for targeted engagement across traditional and digital channels
- Utilize effective project planning techniques to break down complex projects into tasks and ensure deadlines are kept
