**UX Researcher**

JOB PURPOSE:
The objective of the X Studio is to contribute to an exceptional User Experience within the DT & IT EF by co-creating solutions with Human needs at the center. The HCD Studio Head is leading the team which consists out of HCD Engagement Lead, Transformation Lead, UX Researcher and Experience Designer.

The UX Researcher is responsible for planning and conducting user research in alignment with business and user needs. The UX researcher ensures that all stakeholders gain a deep understanding of the product development life cycle, including user insights and aligning business and user needs.

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- **User Research Strategy and Methods**
- Defines, plans and drives user research strategy and methods for every stage of the product’s lifecycle: from IT conceptualization, prototype validations to usability testing on the final product. Examples of activities:_
- Defines, manages and conducts end-to-end user research projects: from user recruitment to final debrief
- Plans and designs research strategies, methods, and user groups to be used and involved early in the product development
- Provides product teams with a clear plan and the right user research methods
- Is involved in discovery activities to advice leadership on new propositions and desired outcomes
- Identifies the best approaches and research methods for the project phase or life cycle stage
- Discovers patterns, insights and user needs through focus groups, interviews, surveys, field studies, card sorting, journey mapping, testing
- Plans, scopes, executes, analyzes, and reports both qualitative and quantitative research data
- Synthesises results into actionable insights and outputs (Personas, Empathy Maps, User Journeys etc.).
- **Data analytics**
- Conducts user research for use cases so that user insights can be used to shape the experience design to the final product. Examples of activities:_
- Executes research activities to provide product teams with a deep understanding of the people they are developing for
- Identifies research topics in close collaboration with marketing and product management teams
- Prepares tailor-made approaches and runs workshops with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and users
- Participates in user recruitment activities for user research.
- **Experience Design Advice**
- Provides user insights and research advice to design the user experience for the product. _
- Examples of activities:_
- Documents and presents actionable research findings to the cross-functional product team.
- Ensures that user needs are properly understood and seriously considered in every stage of product development
- Supports and assists the product team to iteratively design a product that satisfies user experience
- Provides clear points of improvement for the product.
- **Human Centered Design Ways of Working**
- Promotes the value and ensures the delivery of human centered design and user research across DT & IT EF and beyond. Examples of activities:_
- Proposes tailor-made user research approaches to various use cases and product teams
- Ensures proper delivery of user strategy, methods and insights and strives for compromises in challenging situations
- Promotes user research strategies, methods, and best practices as part of Human Centered Design Ways of Working
- Inspires change and new ways of working - to get insights in user needs - at every life cycle stage.
- **Cross Functional Team Collaboration**
- Facilitates user research focused engagement and collaboration across various stakeholders to ensure focus on user insights in the co-creation of the product along the value chain. Examples of activities:_
- Works with HCD team, product management, content strategy, development teams to bring customised solutions with in-depth user insights at the center
- Drives collaboration in multi-disciplinary teams and promotes user as a joint responsibility in using research insights effectively for product development
- Aligns the interests of the different parties contributing to the contextual knowledge about user insights for development of a product.

WHO YOU ARE:

- 5+ years of UX research experience
- Bachelor’s or MS in a human behavior related field (or equivalent and demonstrable work experience)
