Unilode owns and manages the world’s largest fleet of unit load devices (ULDs), for use in the aviation industry. It owns and operates the largest global network for the maintenance and repair of ULDs and inflight food service equipment, providing management, repair, short term leasing and digitalisation solutions to over 90 airlines.

**What You Will Be Doing**

Here at Unilode we have a great opportunity for an individual to join us as Databricks Administrator for our EDW Project, you will be part of the Global IT Team, with the role being developed into our brand new site in Bangalore, India site.

As a Databricks Administrator your experience and passion for IT infrastructure development will mean you will play a central role in the development and maintenance of Unilode Aviation Solutions' Platforms. The Databricks Administrator will ensure the Databricks platform's stability, security, performance and compliance with data processing and analytics requirements. This role is instrumental in enabling data-driven decision-making and insights within the organization while managing the platform efficiently and cost-effectively.

**Follow Your Passion With The Following Responsibilities**

We are looking for talented and passionate individuals to configure and maintain the Databricks platform, including setting up and managing Databricks clusters, including provisioning and scaling of resource allocation; optimizing cluster configurations for different workloads and user access requirements; implement and enforce security measures within Databricks, including role-based access control (RBAC), encryption, and data access policies and monitor and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.

**What We Are Inspired By**

We would love to hear from individuals based in Bangalore, India who can demonstrate consistent hands-on experience working with Databricks in an administrative capacity (including managing Databricks clusters, workspaces, and resources).

If you have familiarity with big data technologies and frameworks, such as Apache Spark and Hadoop, that would be beneficial as they are commonly integrated with Databricks.

A curiousness and proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly the one used in conjunction with Databricks (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and cloud infrastructure services is beneficial. And we would love it if you also can show us a strong understanding of data security best practices, access controls, encryption, and compliance standards.

We would expect that you as an individual have a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. (A Master's Degree is a plus, but is not always necessary). We may consider equivalent work experience or relevant certifications with similar background or experience.
