The Role:
You will be responsible for writing, debugging, executing, reporting and refactoring performance tests and automated performance scripts. As well as this you advance the QA community through sharing of best practice and mentoring others.

You will:

- Work closely with Delivery Teams to support their development lifecycle, by delivering best quality performance tests, and automate these where it’s feasible
- Leverage JMeter as tool of choice to perform load testing of Microservices and REST APIs
- Work with Devops teams to integrate performance testing in the CI/CD processes
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to make sure the business requirements are met

To carry out this role successfully you will have the following capabilities:

- Execute, implement and maintain performance tests to ensure that the product / service remains stable and responsive when faced with significant volumes of traffic
- Continuously monitor the performance of the environments, to be able to suggest amendments to enable a smoother customer experience
- Very strong hands-on experience on JMeter/Load Runner or similar tool with trouble-shooting capabilities
- Handson experience on load/performance testing of Microservices and REST APIs
- Good understanding and possess knowledge on RESTful services
- Execute, implement, and maintain performance tests to ensure that the product / service remains stable and responsive when faced with significant volumes of traffic
- Continuously monitor the performance of the environments, to be able to suggest amendments to enable a smoother customer experience
- Thorough understanding of throughput, latency, memory, CPU utilisation and other metrics
- Must be able to design a test scenario & workload modelling based on the production volumetrics.
- Understands continuous integration and continuous delivery, capable of building robust, automated performance testing suites through all test environments
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
