Overview of Global Risk and Compliance
Tag maintains a Global Risk and Compliance (R&C) function that support all divisions of the business alongside the operational support functions. The function supports both internal and client facing environments. The core activities of the team span enterprise risk management, support and delivery of proactive and reactive compliance and assurance activities, and governance setting and monitoring around Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ).
Purpose
To ensure that a Tag IN is conducting its business in full compliance with all national/international laws and regulations that pertain to its industry, as well as professional standards, accepted business practices, and internal policies and standards. To directly support the Risk and Compliance Manager (UK based) in delivering the regional remit for R&C spanning ERM, Compliance and SHEQ initiatives and being the primary point of contact for general queries and issues resolution.
To achieve objectives, the role will partner with the wider R&C global network, and work in collaboration with other functions and management to verify that operations are compliant and aligned with internal protocols, while seeking opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
Key responsibilities:
To proactively assist Tag IN to manage risk, maintain a positive reputation, and avoid lawsuits connected with both regulatory and policy non-compliances and to resolve compliance related issues.
To conduct trainings/interactive sessions to raise awareness of compliance among Tag IN employees and to create and maintain a compliance culture within the organization.
To establish and ensure compliance with internal systems of control that are imposed to achieve compliance with the externally imposed rules and regulations.
To institute compliance practices among Tag IN employees/contractors that will ensure the highest possible level of compliance.
To investigate issues and incidents in collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders and to recommend appropriate internal disciplinary actions, corrective measures and management strategies.
To effectively communicate compliance-related issues/information to employees across all divisions of the organization and to respond to and support Tag IN business on queries relating to Risk and Compliance topics whenever they arise.
To provide necessary guidance and support to Tag IN business/HR/OPS/FIN etc. on queries related to local insurance policies.
Managing & Reporting responsibilities:
Management of and delivery of performance reporting relating, but not limited to:
- Tag Risk Management Policy
- Tag Gifts & Hospitality - including General Ledger & Expense Review
- Tag SHEQ Champion - Data collation and generating dashboards - ISO standards (14001, 9001)
- Tag Competition Compliance Policy,
- Tag Code of Conduct Policy,
- Tag Anti
- Bribery and Corruption Policy
- Tag Anti-Fraud Policy
- Sanctions screening
Essential skills and personal Attributes:
Thorough knowledge of Tag business industry and standard business laws relating to Tag IN business. Excellent communication and presentation skills, to be able to inform and persuade both orally and in writing. This means excellent written and spoken English Excellent analytical ability with strong attention to detail Enthusiastic and self-motivated, able to work effectively with remote stakeholders Diligence and proactiveness Fair approach to issues and non-judgmental attitude Experience working in a global business environment A proven track record of dealing with a wide range of mid to senior stakeholders
Educational Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law, business management or a related field Prior experience in managing risk and compliance affairs of large/mid-size organizations
