**Job Description Summary**: The LM Wind Power is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Lab technician to join the Engineering Test Lab in Bangalore, India. Supporting the Test and Validation of composite material, method, component, process (manufacturing & design) to Support various Material qualifications, New Technology Initiatives, New Product Initiatives, RCA, Plant and delivering quality results on-time.

Should have Expertise in composite manufacturing especially VARTM, HLU and basic knowledge on Composite Repairs, Prepregs and materials used for making wind turbine blades and ready to work in a cross functional team to support our technology growth.

**Roles and Responsibilities**

As a Technician, Engineering Test Lab you will be part of the Technology Development & Materials department under LM Engineering & Technology organization at LM Wind Power. Your role will focus on
- Comply with LM Systems, Standards and Process.
- Assist in sample receiving and lab test request processing.
- Execute the task by coordinating with Task Initiator, Planner, Procurement, Internal / External Labs.
- Execute different material qualifications.
- Assist/support in preparation of composite specimens
- Responsible for the maintenance and calibration of all related lab equipment.
- Work with cross functional team.
- Support root cause analysis and expedite problem solving in collaboration with the Engineers during any failures.
- Proactively communicate task or project progress in the defined tool.
- Supports continuous improvement of products and processes by participating in the fabrication and testing of new concepts and technology.
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment.

**Required Qualifications**
- Diploma in Mechanical or Polymer Engineering with experience in Composites manufacturing and processing.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in the field of Glass fabric, Hybrid, Carbon, Resins, Adhesives, Coatings with good understanding about various thermoset materials such as unsaturated polyesters, vinyl esters, epoxies, polyurethanes, and its applicability in wind turbine blades.
- Experience working in a laboratory test environment.
- Working knowledge of various composite manufacturing processes
- Experience performing mechanical testing on composite and/or metallic products.

- Structured and well-organized work approach and have a strong drive to move things forward.
- Experience with laboratory safe working practices, emergency procedures and the identification of possible dangerous situations.
- Problem-solving, creativity, self-motivation, innovation, Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel desired.
