NDT Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented NDT Technician to join our team at SGF Fab Industries. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) on cranes, material handling equipment, structural fabrications, and industrial components to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as UT (Ultrasonic Testing), MT (Magnetic Particle Testing), PT (Dye Penetrant Testing), and RT (Radiographic Testing) as required.

• Inspect welds, materials, and fabricated structures to identify defects, cracks, or discontinuities.

• Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting test results, findings, and recommendations.

• Ensure compliance with ASME, ASTM, ISO, and other relevant standards.

• Collaborate with quality assurance, production, and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.

• Maintain testing equipment, tools, and calibration records in good condition.

• Support continuous improvement in safety, quality, and production processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Level II certification in UT, MT, PT, RT (ASNT / PCN / ISO preferred).

• Proven experience in NDT within fabrication, heavy engineering, or manufacturing industry.

• Strong understanding of welding processes, materials, and fabrication standards.

• Attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to prepare clear reports and communicate findings effectively.

• Knowledge of safety protocols and adherence to quality standards.
