Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Semantic Model Design: Design and develop semantic data models that enable efficient data consumption for business intelligence and analytics.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data architects, data engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality semantic models.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize semantic models for performance, scalability, and user accessibility.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for semantic models and related processes.
- Innovation: Stay current with industry trends and best practices, driving continuous improvement and innovation in semantic modelling practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in data modelling, with a focus on semantic modelling in Microsoft Fabric environments.
- Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Power BI semantic modelling
o Strong knowledge of SQL, DAX & Power query
o Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure.
o Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
- Soft Skills:
o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
o Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
