**Job Title**: Contract-Based Copy Editor (India)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Review and edit content to ensure adherence to the **US style guide** for copy editing.
- Correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and usage errors in line with US English conventions.
- Ensure consistency of language, tone, and style across all documents.
- Verify facts and details to ensure content accuracy.
- Collaborate with the content creation team to resolve any language or formatting issues.
- Ensure the final copy is **clear, concise, and error-free**.
- Maintain the integrity of original content while enhancing clarity and readability.
- Manage editing timelines and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong command of **US English** and proficiency in **US style guides** (e.g., AP, Chicago Manual of Style).
- Proven experience in **copy editing** with a focus on **US-based content**.
- Excellent understanding of grammar, punctuation, and spelling rules.
- **Detail-oriented** with a commitment to producing polished, error-free content.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Prior experience with **educational, technical, or business-related** content editing is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with editing tools and software (e.g., MS Word, Google Docs).

**Contract Terms**:

- **Type**: Contract-based, project duration to be discussed.
- **Compensation**: Based on experience and project scope.

Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Copy editing: 5 years (required)
- US style guide: 1 year (preferred)
