Global Process Owner

The Global Process Owner (GPO) will own the end-to-end accounting and close (A&C) process across all business units, functions, and geographies within Wood. The GPO A&C reports directly to the Senior Vice President Global Finance Services and will be responsible for driving continuous improvement of effective and efficient A&C processes, whilst leveraging the right people, functional, operational, and technical resources to ensure the process delivers the quality outcomes required by Wood.

- Understands business functional system challenges and issues, acting as a change agent garnering trust, respect and support.
- Continuously drives improvement through the end-to-end process by collaborating across business units, functions, and geographies considering stakeholders needs.
- Bridges the gap between business and process and technology.
- Sets the strategic agenda for the process within Wood to create transformational change.
- Engages business focal points, functional focal points, and geographical leaders for resource to drive cost benefit and meaningful capability improvements.
- Performance enabler of successful transformation, driving deployment of next generation systems and disruptive technologies.
- Learns from industry leaders to bring best practice and emerging digital capabilities to the end-to-end process.
- Aligns the organisation and cultivates followership on best practice to drive step changes in capability and cost.
- Matures existing best practice within the end-to-end process and embeds that across the business.
- Owns associated standard global processes as well as any local process requirements within the respective workstream, including identification of any policy / control impacts which result.
- Aligns Wood on process metrics and reporting.
- Identifies and manages business risks and ensures business continuity.
- Ensures compliance against the set process, feeding into regular assurance feedback.
- Point of escalation for businesses, functions and geographies for concerns and issues within accountable end-to-end process.
- Reinforces Wood culture and brand.
- Significant experience acting as a team player at executive levels to collaborate with business units and functional partners.
- Working knowledge of finance and/or accounting in terms of budgeting, cost management, financial accounting, treasury, risk management, etc.
- Current working knowledge and proactive in continuous learning of industry best practices and enabling technologies.
- Ability to communicate, build relationships, trust and rapport with senior functional leaders
- Significant experience in establishing and achieving challenging performance targets.
- Strong understanding of change management methodologies required to support large scale organizational change and transformation with a dynamic set of stakeholders.

- Ability to deliver projects to the business and understand the support model required.
- Experience with functional operating models, key processes, reporting structures, legal entity structures and how these are enabled within the system set up.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle).

- Ability to develop, maintain key policies associated with the end-to-end process and a holistic understanding of the business at process level.
