**Job Summary**
The Store Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the store by assisting customers, managing inventory, processing transactions, and maintaining store cleanliness. The position requires a friendly and approachable attitude, organizational skills, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Customer Service**:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist customers in finding products and provide information about promotions, features, and availability.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a courteous and efficient manner.
- **Sales Support**:
- Assist in achieving store sales goals by promoting products and upselling when appropriate.
- Ensure that product displays are attractive and well-stocked.
- Support the store in maintaining inventory accuracy by conducting regular stock checks.
- **Cashier Duties**:
- Operate the cash register, process payments (cash, card, etc.), and provide receipts.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds according to store policies.
- **Stock Management**:
- Unload deliveries and ensure products are appropriately stocked on shelves.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and inform the store manager of inventory shortages or excess.
- Organize stockrooms and ensure items are stored correctly and safely.
- **Store Cleanliness and Organization**:
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including aisles, shelves, and back areas.
- Assist with tidying and restocking throughout the day.
- **Health and Safety Compliance**:
- Follow all store procedures, including those related to safety, security, and health standards.
- Ensure products are correctly labeled, priced, and meet all safety requirements.
- **Team Collaboration**:
- Work closely with other team members to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Support the store manager with any tasks as needed, such as setting up promotional displays or arranging stock.
**Skills & Qualifications**
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Experience**: Prior experience in retail, customer service, or a related field is a plus but not required.
- **Skills**:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of store products and services (or willingness to learn).
- **Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to lift and carry products (up to 25 kg/55 lbs).
- Comfortable standing for long periods and working in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: From ₹18,000.00 per month
