**Role Overview**

As a Restaurant Captain, you will be the face of Kozhi Idli for our dine-in and walk-in customers. You will be responsible for ensuring a smooth dining experience by greeting guests, managing seating, taking orders, coordinating with kitchen staff, and maintaining service standards. Your goal is to create a welcoming environment and ensure customer satisfaction at every touchpoint.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Greet and welcome **walk-in**and dine-in **guests warmly.**
- **Upsell menu items to maximize revenue and enhance the guest experience.**
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the **service team during your shift.**
- Take **customer orders accurately and promptly, and ensure they are processed efficiently.**
- **Maintain excellent knowledge of the menu to assist customers**with questions and make recommendations.
- Ensure **cleanliness and readiness of the dining area before and during service**.
- Monitor **guest satisfaction**and **respond to any complaints**or special requests

professionally and promptly.
- **Coordinate with kitchen and service staff**to ensure timely order delivery.
- **Manage table allocations during peak hours**to minimize waiting times.
- **Ensure billing accuracy**and assist guests with the **payment process.**
- **Train and guide**junior staff as needed.
- **Follow hygiene and safety standards**as per restaurant policies.

Qualifications & Skills

**Requirements**:

- **Prior experience in a similar role in the food & beverage industry**(1-3 years preferred).
- **Strong customer service**and communication skills.
- Ability to **handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.**:

- Friendly, energetic, and well-groomed with a **customer-first attitude.**:

- Basic understanding of **POS systems and billing procedures and Pet Pooja Software**.
- **Fluency in English**and local languages (Tamil preferred).
- Flexible to work on **weekends, holidays, and rotational shifts**.
