Department- Optimization- Job posted on- Dec 21, 2021- Employee Type- Permanent- Experience range Range (Years)- 0 - N.A.- The Data Science - Optimization Team at Delhivery deals with optimization problems that arise in- logistics; in conjunction with location, network and customer intelligence we have built over the- course of over 1 Billion successful deliveries across the length and breadth of India.- Think of solving problems like VRP, facility location problem, etc. using techniques such as MILP,- graph theory, genetic algorithms, etc. to optimize and orchestrate a widespread and dynamic- network that delivers over a million shipments daily, across 70+ hubs and 2000+ last mile centres- with an operations staff of over 40,000 people.- We have one opening for a Data Scientist 2 role in the team. Working remotely from anywhere in- India is acceptable.-
- Strong in algorithms and problem-solving.
- Strong in any one programming language and SQL.
- Good in math/probability.
- Java/C++ is good to have, but not necessary.
- Background in Operations Research is a big plus, but not necessary.
- Knowledge of AI/ML is good to have, but not necessary.
- 2 or more years of industry experience. Experience required is lesser for PhDs.
- Bachelors/Masters/PhD in CS/EE/OR/Math/etc.
