They also maintain an updated customer database. Following up Telesales representatives follow up with customers after purchases to initiate repeat orders and ensure customer satisfaction. Upselling Telesales representatives may try to upsell products to customers. Market research Telesales representatives may conduct market research to learn how to address customers' needs. Preparing reports Telesales representatives may prepare sales reports and compare competitor offers. Liaising with other departments Telesales representatives may direct calls to other departments as needed and liaise with other departments regarding customer queries and complaints. Some skills and qualifications that are useful for telesales representatives include: Strong communication skills, Ability to multitask, Knowledge of sales software and CRM systems, Ability to adapt to changing sales strategies, and Good time management and organizational skills.
