Teradata is seeking a highly skilled and client-focused Data Scientist to join our dynamic ASIA PS Consulting team based out of India. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering impactful analytical solutions to our diverse customer base, leveraging Teradata's industry-leading data platform and advanced analytics capabilities. With a strong emphasis on Voice Analytics for the next year, you will work closely with clients to understand their business challenges and translate them into actionable data-driven insights. You will also play a crucial role in the sales cycle, providing technical expertise and support to our Consulting Sales Executives by conducting presentations, engaging in architecture discussions, and accurately scoping project requirements. What you will do
**Client-Centric Solution Delivery**:
Design, develop, and deploy customized analytical solutions to address specific client business needs leveraging Teradata Vantage and related technologies.
Conduct thorough data exploration, feature engineering, and model development using machine learning and statistical techniques within the Teradata ecosystem.
Implement and optimize machine learning models in production environments on Teradata platforms, ensuring scalability and performance.
Generate clear, concise, and actionable reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients.
Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring successful solution adoption and utilization, with a focus on Teradata specific tools and processes.
**Voice Analytics Expertise**:
Posses deep expertise in Voice Analytics, staying current with the latest advancements in NLP, speech recognition, and related technologies, and how they can integrate with Teradata.
Utilize techniques such as sentiment analysis, topic modeling to extract valuable insights from voice data, optimized for Teradata's parallel processing capabilities.
Build and fine-tune custom voice analytics models tailored to specific client requirements, leveraging Teradata's in-database analytics.
**Pre-Sales and Sales Support**:
Collaborate with Teradata sales executives to understand client needs and develop tailored solution proposals.
Deliver compelling technical presentations and demonstrations showcasing the capabilities of Teradata Vantage.
Engage in detailed architectural discussions with potential clients, providing expert guidance on solution design and integration with Teradata platforms.
Accurately scope project requirements, estimate effort, and contribute to the development of Statements of Work (SOWs).
Address technical questions from clients and prospects regarding Teradata's capabilities.
**Teradata Platform Expertise**:
Utilize Teradata Vantage and related tools for data warehousing, data processing, and machine learning.
Optimize data pipelines and queries for performance on Teradata platforms.
Leverage Teradata's in-database analytics capabilities to build and deploy machine learning models.
**Advanced AI/ML and Vector Store**:
Generate Vector Embeddings and manage Vector Stores for efficient storage and retrieval of high-dimensional embeddings representing text, audio, and other data types for semantic search and similarity analysis.
**Data Science Best Practices**:
Develop and maintain data science workflows and documentation.
Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and related technologies.
**Collaboration and Communication**:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and sales, to ensure seamless solution delivery.
Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Who You’ll Work With
Work in close coordination with Pre-Sales Data Science teams to serve global customers.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and sales, to ensure seamless solution delivery.
Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in a related discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Data Science)
8 years of related work and/or research experience in quantitative roles
In-depth knowledge in at least 1 of the following data science domains other than Signal Processing, Image, Video, Voice
Text Mining / NLP
Graph and Network Analysis
Deep Learning/Gen AI
Geospatial Analysis
Predictive Modeling and Recommender Systems
Extensive knowledge of at least one open-source scientific language such as Python
Knowledge of working with AI/ML modules of cloud providers is a plus
Fluency in SQL and good knowledge of relational databases
