ABOUT THE ROLE

As Fundraising and Communications Coordinator, you will:

- Develop a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with the NGO's mission and goals.
- Identify potential sources of funding, and research, write, and submit compelling grant proposals to foundations, government agencies, and other grant-giving organisations.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of fundraising results to management and donors.
- Develop engaging and persuasive content for various communication channels, including Aweksha’s website and social media platforms, monitor trends, and respond to comments or inquiries.
- Coordinate with programme teams to gather information and stories about the organisation's projects and impact.
- Support advocacy initiatives by creating compelling communication materials to influence policymakers, stakeholders, and the public.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree in a relevant field such as communications, non-profit management, etc.
- Previous experience in fundraising and communications, preferably in the non-profit sector, with a proven track record of successfully securing donations and grants.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Proficiency in grant writing and prospect research.
- Strong understanding of ethical fundraising practices, principles, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tell impactful stories and tailor messages to different audiences.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and partners.
- Understanding of the issue of gender-based violence is a must.

REMUNERATION

INR 6,00,000/- per annum
