**Overview**
- The Behavioral Counsellor will provide counseling and support to students dealing with behavioral issues, emotional difficulties, and social challenges. You will assess and intervene with students in individual or group settings, collaborate with teachers and parents to create effective behavioral strategies, and contribute to a holistic approach to student development.

**Responsibilities**
- Key Responsibilities

Conduct individual assessments for students exhibiting behavioral or emotional challenges.
- Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other school staff.
- Provide counseling services to students dealing with anxiety, depression, social difficulties, and behavioral issues.
- Lead or facilitate group counseling sessions focusing on social skills, anger management, conflict resolution, and emotional regulation.
- Work closely with teachers to identify and address behavioral concerns in the classroom.
- Educate students, staff, and parents on behavioral health, coping strategies, and mental health awareness.
- Maintain confidential records of student progress and interventions.
- Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary, including referrals to external resources if needed.
- Contribute to school-wide programs aimed at promoting mental health and positive behavioral development.

**Qualifications**:
**Master’s degree in Psychology,** Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Licensure or certification (e.g., LPC, LMFT, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development, behavioral management techniques, and emotional regulation strategies.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students, parents, and school staff effectively.
- Experience in crisis intervention and working with students with diverse needs.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to establish trusting relationships with students.
