JOB TITLE - Beauty Advisor JOB HOLDER - REPORTS TO - DEPARTMENT MANAGER/ ASSISTANT MANAGER - OPERATIONS AND ANY OTHER AUTHORISED PERSON DIVISION AND DEPARTMENT: Retail - Operations JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT To correctly serve our customers, record the sales. Work towards achieving targets provided for Bath & Body. Maintain displays for every product category as per guidelines. Work together towards achieving CUSTOMER DELIGHT. JOB CONTEXT He/She helps the Department Managers and Assistant Manager - Operations by assisting them in their responsibilities. Helps in maintaining a neat floor. Re-ordering is automatic through a computerised replenishment system. However, they have the additional responsibility of estimating high sales especially on weekends and have to take care of this need. This estimate is often done by knowledge gained through experience. In addition to this section/s on which the job holder concentrates, in case of exigencies of work requirement, the services of the job holder would be utilized in other departments, stockroom, customer service desk, other Stores at the same location or any other location etc. also. Filling up on Stock 1. The jobholder keeps a check on the levels of stock in his/her section. The jobholder brings the stock from the stock room to the Shop floor. 2. Where stock room stock levels are low, the jobholder will inform the Dept. Manager/Assistant Manager - Operations. 3. Stock is placed on the racks in the correct positions. Where items are not priced, the Jobholder will check, process and price the Merchandise before placing stock on sale. 4. The jobholder shall ensure that merchandise is laid out as per display principles, i.e. sizes & ratios are maintained. Customer Service: 1. The job involves sales assistance to customers. The jobholder is expected to be polite and helpful when dealing with customer queries or complaints - referring them to DM/AMO when necessary. 2. To take responsibility for customers’ follow up. 3. The jobholder should try and maximize sales through multiple purchases without inconveniencing the customer. Cleaning/ Tidying 1. This involves the maintenance of an excellent standard of presentation and tidiness of the sales floor. 2. To clean and maintain all fixtures and fittings/bins so that they are dust/stain free at all times. 3. The merchandise should be tidy and presentable at all times. Other Duties: 1. When necessary, the jobholder may undertake duties such as, assisting with layout changes - including moving, assembling fixtures and counters, providing sales assistance to other departments of the Store. 2. The jobholder shall always remain alert to ensure that shop lifting/internal shrinkage is mínimal. 3. The jobholder shall assist in visual merchandising/promotions inside and outside the Store. To carryout all other duties ancillary and incidental thereto as well as other duties assigned from time to time MAIN ACTIVITIES I. Departmental Knowledge 1. Best selling ranges. 2. Stock shortages. 3. Presentation and display. 4. Replenishment. 5. Record of sale without purchase. 6. Followup with merchandisers. II. Other Duties 1. To cover floor when required. 2. To be responsible at all times. 3. To be responsible for constant replenishment. 4. To be professional and approachable. 5. To be willing to do overtime as and when the situation demands. 6. To be able to work under pressure. 7. To be watchful for known/unknown shrinkage. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Maintain an accurate stock file to ensure a maximum ‘ on sale’ position for merchandise. 2. Motivate and help team to attain a high standard of customer delight. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 1. Academic qualification: Preferably Graduates, though this requirement is not essential. 2. Fluency in spoken English is a must. 3. Good communication skills and a pleasant personality are essential. 4. Previous experience of at least one year in beauty industry is preferable. 5. Knowledge of one of the local languages would be advantageous. RELATIONSHIP EXTERNAL: Customers - Serving or answering queries - Daily INTERNAL: 1. Assistant Manager - Operations and Departmental Manager - Instructions/constant interaction and working contacts. 2. Other Sales Staff - Working contacts - Daily 3.
