Hiring **Production Supervisor** for a Medical device manufacturing industry in Chennai

Experience : 5-10 years
(**CNC Centerless Grinding Machines experience is mandatory)**

Qualification : Diploma / BE Mechanical

Job Location : Chennai (Chromepet)

Salary : 20,000 to 35,000 Per Month

Office Locations : Chennai / Trichy / Saudi Arabia / Australia

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Production Planning and Scheduling:

- Develop production plans and schedules to meet customer orders and delivery commitments.
- Coordinate with sales, engineering, and procurement departments to ensure materials availability.
- Optimize production capacity utilization to meet production targets.

2. Team Management:

- Supervise and lead production teams, including machine operators, technicians, and assembly personnel.
- Set performance goals, provide training, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement among team members.

3. Process Optimization:

- Evaluate and enhance **CNC centerless grinding** processes to improve efficiency and reduce production costs.
- Implement Lean manufacturing principles and best practices to streamline operations.
- Identify and troubleshoot production bottlenecks and implement solutions.

4. Quality Assurance:

- Ensure that all **CNC centerless grinding machines** meet quality standards and specifications.
- Implement quality control measures, inspections, and testing procedures.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address and resolve quality issues.

5. Inventory Management:

- Monitor and manage raw material and component inventory levels to prevent shortages or overages.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and reduce carrying costs.

6. Equipment Maintenance:

- Oversee the maintenance and repair of **CNC grinding machines** and related equipment.
- Schedule preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and production disruptions.

7. Health and Safety Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines in all production activities.
- Promote a safe working environment and provide training on safety procedures.

8. Reporting and Documentation:

- Maintain production records, including production reports, quality data, and performance metrics.
- Prepare regular reports for management on production progress and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in manufacturing operations and production management.
- Knowledge of **CNC machining, grinding processes**, and machine tooling.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in production planning and scheduling.
- Knowledge of Indian manufacturing regulations and labor laws is a plus.

**Experience**:

- Several years of experience in a production management role within the CNC machining or machinery manufacturing industry.
- Experience with **CNC centerless grinding machines** or similar equipment is highly desirable.
