Reporting Manger : Principal Engineer - Structure

**Job Profile**

**Minimum Qualification and experience Requirement**
- Minimum B. Tech (Civil); M. Tech (Structure) will be preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with 2-5 years’ experience as Design Engineer or Coordinator - Structure. If M. Tech (Structure) 2+ Years’ Experience is acceptable.
- Experience as Design Coordinator - Structure will be preferred.

**Key Qualities and experience**
- Essential Experience required in Metros and Railways for Structure Design.
- Must have Experience in Elevated Metro Design.
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

- Strong team player
- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through patience, analytical and

problem-solving capabilities
- Must have knowledge for digital coordination for Model as well as drawings
- Mandatory Communication Skills
- Can maintain the record of all Project coordination meeting.
- Can identify the soft and hard contradictory information for coordination and highlight the issue to project management.
- Maintain high level of competency of software through continued use and training
- Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops, bringing back learning and disseminating the information to appropriate teams

**Responsibilities**

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

- Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
- Layout and details portions of projects using schematic layout by Lead Engineer/Principal Engineer/Project Manager. May be assigned responsibility for schematic or conceptual layouts when qualified.
- Provide drawing for own designs and produce sketches to incorporate in drawings and Model by Drafters/Modelers
- Research design options and document findings for Lead Engineer/Principal Engineer/Project Manager.
- May be assigned to record the outgoing and incoming documents.
- May be assigned a position at Site Office to assist the Project Manager and Technical Staff for Client or Contactors Coordination.
- May be assigned to assist the Project Manager in Project Function and Coordination.
- May be assigned as the Interface Coordinator between Disciplines and Other Stakeholders of the Project.
- May direct and supervise other Designers/Drafters activities.
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents.
- Organize, draft, and coordinate technical and other project related documents.
- Capable and experienced in performing projects in a fast-paced environment.

**Software Skills**
- Staad Pro
- MIDAS
- Working knowledge of Auto Cad and Revit or other 2D and 3D drafting software.
- Working knowledge of BIM
- Developed spreadsheets/ programs for design and analysis using MS Office
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office.

**Typical Duties**

Typical duties will include but not be limited to the preparation and/or modification of the following:

- Civil/Structural engineering calculations.
- Civil/Structural engineering plans, design, and layout.
- Civil/Structural project specifications.
- Civil/Structural engineering portion of project proposals.
- Civil/Structural engineering portion of project cost estimates.
