Junior Interior Designer/ Architect

**Job Title**: Interior Designer & Architect (Dual Role)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Conceptual Design & Development**:

- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and project requirements for both interior and architectural spaces.
- Develop innovative design concepts, mood boards, and preliminary sketches for architectural layouts, interior spaces, and custom elements.
- Conduct site visits, surveys, and analysis to inform design decisions and assess existing conditions.
- **Technical Design & Documentation**:

- Produce detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and site plans, adhering to local building codes and regulations.
- Create comprehensive interior design drawings, including furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans, lighting plans, power/data plans, and custom millwork details.
- Generate 2D and 3D renderings and visualizations to present design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed working drawings, specifications, and schedules for tender and construction purposes.
- **Software Proficiency**:

- Expertly utilize architectural and interior design software for drafting, modeling, and rendering.
- **AutoCAD (Mandatory for 2D drafting)**:

- **SketchUp (for quick 3D modeling and visualization)**:

- **Revit (for BIM - Building Information Modeling, if applicable)**:

- **3ds Max / V-Ray / Corona Render (for high-quality renderings)**:

- **Enscape / Lumion (for real-time rendering and walkthroughs)**:

- **Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator for presentations and graphic work)**:

- **Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word for presentations and documentation)**:

- **Material Selection & Specification**:

- Select and specify appropriate materials, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings, considering aesthetics, durability, budget, and sustainability.
- Research and stay updated on new materials, technologies, and design trends.
- **Project Coordination & Management**:

- Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
- Review shop drawings and material submittals from contractors for compliance with design specifications.
- Assist in project scheduling and budgeting as required.
- Conduct site inspections during construction to ensure adherence to design plans and quality standards.
- **Client Communication**:

- Present design solutions clearly and persuasively to clients, incorporating feedback effectively.
- Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.
- Knowledge\Experience in architectural and interior design roles, preferably within a design firm or consultancy.
- **Portfolio (mandatory)**: A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing a range of interior design and architectural projects, demonstrating creativity, technical skills, and attention to detail.
- **Expert proficiency in**: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop, 3D MAX.
- Thorough knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
