We are currently in a need for a Senior Accounts Executive for our office in Kolkata to cater to the accounting and finance needs. We run a processing center in Kolkata and deal with hiring on behalf of an US based company.
**Position**: Senior Accounts Executive
**Key Responsibilities**:
**A. Financial Data Entry**:
- Accurately record and classify financial transactions, including invoices, payments, receipts, and expenses, into the accounting system (Tally ERP 9).
- Maintain up-to-date and organized financial records for easy access and retrieval.
**B. General Ledger Management**:
- Post and reconcile transactions in the general ledger to maintain accurate account balances.
- Ensure that debits and credits are correctly allocated and balanced
**C. Accounts Payable and Receivable**:
- Process accounts payable by verifying and recording supplier invoices and making timely payments.
- Manage accounts receivable by issuing invoices, recording customer payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
**D. Bank Reconciliation**:
- Regularly reconcile bank statements with the company's financial records to identify discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between bank transactions and internal records.
**E. Financial Reporting**:
- Preparing or actively assisting in preparing financial reports, such as Cash Book, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Provide accurate and up-to-date financial information to support management decisions.
**F. Tax, Provident Fund, ESIC Compliance**:
- Computing and recording TDS, GST, Provident Fund, ESIC etc. ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Keep abreast of changes in state labour and tax regulations that may impact the organization.
**G. Record Keeping and Documentation**:
- Organize and maintain financial documents, receipts, and invoices for audit and reference purposes.
- Ensure that all financial records are stored securely and in compliance with data protection regulations.
**H. Communication and Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with other team members, Accounting consultant, and managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders, both within and outside the organization.
**Requirements**:
- Proven work experience as an articled clerk or in a similar accounting role for 3 years and above.
- Preferably an M.COM or a CA Inter. Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of tax laws and regulations is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
