**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Academic Advising**:

- Assist students in developing educational goals and academic plans.
- Guide students through course selection, prerequisites, and graduation requirements.
- Support students facing academic challenges by providing resources, interventions, and strategies for improvement.
- **Career and Personal Development**:

- Help students identify potential career paths and related academic tracks.
- Conduct assessments to understand students' strengths, interests, and career goals.
- Provide information on internships, scholarships, and post-graduation opportunities.
- **Resource Coordination and Referrals**:

- Connect students with campus resources such as tutoring, mental health services, and extracurricular activities.
- Refer students to specialized programs for academic support, financial aid, and personal counseling as needed.
- **Student Outreach and Engagement**:

- Organize workshops and seminars on academic skills, time management, and study strategies.
- Conduct orientation sessions for new students to familiarize them with academic policies and resources.
- Engage with students regularly to monitor progress and provide encouragement.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain records of student interactions, plans, and progress.
- Prepare reports for administration to inform on student success trends and identify areas needing support.
- **Collaboration with Faculty and Administration**:

- Partner with faculty and staff to support student needs and resolve academic issues.
- Stay informed on curriculum changes, policy updates, and new academic programs.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Education**: Typically a bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, psychology, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- **Experience**: Experience in academic advising, counseling, or a similar educational support role.
- **Skills**: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, problem-solving ability, empathy, and organizational skills. Familiarity with student management software is often required.

Academic Counselors play a vital role in student success by helping them navigate their academic path, building confidence, and equipping them with the skills to achieve their goals.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
