Executive Utility

In current role along with shift boiler operation Anil is taking care of preparation of reports, MIS and reporting to management. He is leading utility operations and managing uptime.

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Managing utility equipment operation, trouble-shooting function of all quipments. Provide adequate training and awareness to all relevant utility operators in the same and ensuring a dedicated and qualified team is developed for the same equipment within the plant including boiler, refrigeration plant, air compressor system, oil separation area ,other auxiliary system & search for ways to optimise and improve plant efficiency. Shift planning, team communication and review of teamwork._
- Responsible for statutory compliance of all boilers.
- Monitor, analyse and improve on gas, water, chemicals consumption, steam production and report to team as well as management.
- Responsible for plan jobs, communicate, review and give feedback to team.
- Responsible to maintain utility uptime 99% and above.
- Responsible to Investigate and take corrective action for emergency repairs.
- Work with production team and prioritise & plan work on a daily basis.
- Optimum gas bidding with SGL to achieve optimum saving.
- Managing utility operators shift schedule and ensure operator availability 24* 7*365 days.
- Review daily reports & follow up work planned accordingly.
- Responsible to ensure all operation/maintenance work is recorded on CMMS.
- Responsible for Preparing new joinee training plan, review and train operators.
- Responsible to respond quickly to all breakdowns to minimize stoppage time.
- Create good relationships with local suppliers/ contractors to ensure service/ parts are available quickly with mínimal costs
- To follow up all operation related breakdowns and failures root causes & prevent reoccurrence
- Communicate with production operators / leader on time scale of stoppage & any assistance that is required
- Responsible to prepare monthly energy consumption, team performance report and send to management.
- Lead for energy conservation / SCA projects in responsible area.
- Responsible for vendors follow up.
- Assist to maintain 5s at work place.
- Responsible for successful completion of external / internal audits in utility area.
- Responsible for people development to ensure smooth and successful operation of plant.
- Analyse gas consumption and work with finance team to optimum gas bidding and achieve maximum saving.

**3. Engineering Improvements**
- Plan & execute improvements at utility areas to increase efficiencies/ improve safety standards or assist production.
- Follow the change request procedure before any changes is carried out
- Assist with engineering projects as required especially in start-up management etc.

**4. Safety**
- Ensure all tasks are undertaken safely with appropriate PPE & procedures by self and by assigned technicians working under him
- Adhere to safe work practices such as working at height regulations
- Ensure equipment is correctly isolated (LOTO) when maintenance is carried out
- Report any safety or property loss incident to relevant persons in the safety organization and Manager (Engg and Maint.) as per company procedures
- Identify & report any unsafe working conditions / machine faults
- Plan & execute plant improvements to enhance safety standards
- Carry out regular safety inspections in all areas of the plant like BOS etc.
