Actuary

**TECHNOPARK PHASE 3 CAMPUS, TRIVANDRUM** -**CLAIMS DEPARTMENT** -**PERMANENT**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct risk assessments and financial analyses to determine the probability of loss and potential insurance premiums.
- Collaborate with underwriters, claims managers, and financial analysts to optimize insurance products and pricing strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards and other actuarial guidelines.
- Prepare and present reports with data-driven insights to support business decision-making.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing insurance policies and suggest modifications as needed.
- Utilize actuarial software and programming languages for data analysis and modeling.
- Support financial reporting and capital management initiatives.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes affecting the insurance market.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in **Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field**.
- Professional certification or progress toward **Fellowship or Associate-level credentials**:

- **4+ years of experience** in actuarial roles, preferably in the insurance sector.
- Strong proficiency in **actuarial software**and programming languages.
- Solid understanding of insurance principles, risk assessment and financial forecasting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in** insurance & re-insurance** actuarial functions.
- Knowledge of **regulatory frameworks**.
