A School Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors. This role involves managing front-office activities, facilitating effective communication, and providing administrative support to the school’s faculty and administration team. A successful School Receptionist is organized, professional, and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities
- **Front Desk Operations**:

- Greet and assist visitors, parents, and students promptly and courteously.
- Handle all incoming phone calls, transfer calls to appropriate personnel, and record messages as needed.
- Maintain a neat, organized, and inviting reception area.
- **Visitor & Security Management**:

- Ensure that visitors sign in and receive proper identification or visitor badges.
- Monitor and log visitor and student traffic to maintain campus safety and security procedures.
- Communicate security or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- **Administrative Support**:

- Sort and distribute incoming mail and packages; prepare outgoing mail.
- Assist with basic clerical tasks such as photocopying, filing, and data entry.
- Maintain and update student and staff records in school databases.
- Manage office supplies and place orders to replenish stock as needed.
- **Attendance & Records**:

- Collect and record daily student attendance data.
- Coordinate with teachers and parents about student absences, late arrivals, or early dismissals.
- Prepare attendance reports and related documentation as required.
- **Communications**:

- Convey important notices or announcements to staff and students as directed.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of school events, schedules, and policies to answer queries accurately.
- **Event and Meeting Coordination**:

- Assist in scheduling appointments for the principal and school leadership.
- Support the organization of school events (parent-teacher conferences, open houses, etc.) by managing guest lists, preparing materials, and arranging refreshments when needed.
- **Customer Service & Team Support**:

- Address questions, concerns, or requests from students, parents, and staff with professionalism.
- Direct inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member when necessary.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment by collaborating with staff and supporting school initiatives.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (some college or administrative training preferred).
- Prior experience in reception or administrative roles, preferably in an educational or public-facing environment.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar software.
- Familiarity with office equipment (multi-line phone systems, fax machines, copiers).
- Experience with student information systems or databases is an advantage.
- **Personal Attributes**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize efficiently.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Friendly, welcoming demeanor; remains calm under pressure.
- **Additional Requirements**:

- Ability to pass a background check.
- Willingness to learn and comply with school policies and procedures.

**Working Conditions**:

- Primarily an office-based position in a busy school environment.
- Frequent interaction with students, parents, teachers, and community members.
- May require occasional standing, bending, or lifting of light materials.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
