About the Opportunity:
CSG is a leader in innovative customer engagement, revenue management, and payment solutions that make ordinary customer experiences extraordinary.

CSG is hiring a Data Scientist to join our Public Cloud Architecture FinOps team. The Public Cloud Architecture FinOps team is responsible for developing standards, engineering patterns, and assisting in the operations of the Public Cloud across CSG. You will work with a fun and exciting team and be on the absolute cutting edge of technology.

What you will be doing:
Your primary responsibility will be the technical management of FinOps and public cloud cost data. With the help of the FinOps team, you will build models and design backend data solutions to drive business insight and identify cost inefficiencies. The outcomes of your work will help to increase the maturity of the CSG’s FinOps Practice and build a scalable future.
- You will be working with the FinOps team, technical teams, and stakeholders throughout the business to solve cloud costing efficiencies with data-informed decisions.
- You will mine and analyze data from company databases, and AWS/Azure datasets, to drive optimization, forecasting and other business insight.
- You will assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data-gathering techniques.
- You will develop the company A/B testing framework and test model quality.
- You will coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.
- You will develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.
- You will use your strong technical aptitude and the people on your team to help gather and interpret requirements, create models, develop timelines, manage execution, and communicate progress.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Data Scientist.
- Strong critical thinking and self-motivation to solve inefficiencies.
- Experience with statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
- Experience working with and creating data architectures, PowerBI preferred.
- Experience with modern software development methodologies and techniques.
