**Your role**
- Do you think laterally about what might drive value and risk? Are you comfortable with working on a potentially wide range of value / risk drivers - anything from changes in regulation, to physical changes in the environment, to cultural change and changes in consumer behavior, to "soft" parameters such as human capital? Do you like research and analysis of unconventional data, alongside financial data? Are you imaginative in approaching unquantifiable information? Do you enjoy reading widely to search for insight and ideas?
- We’re looking for someone like that who can:
- help us to identify emerging topics and themes, and investigate existing ones more deeply.
- collaborate with sector teams in thinking about ESG issues in the context of valuation analysis within an industry, sector, or asset class.
- convert industry knowledge into understandable investment opinions.
- work with analysts on their financial models with a view to evaluating tail risk, unconventional risk, or new sources of information.
- assist with / collaborate in the preparation and drafting of thematic and cross-sectoral research reports.
- draft updates to existing thematic reports on the basis of new UBS Evidence Lab data.

**Your team**
- Thematics Strategy Is part of Equity Research. We focus on disruptive themes which cut across sectors and markets, working directly with analysts, who are the sector specialists in the UBS equity research team. From megatrends to markets-based themes, we help connect the dots from top down with bottom up.

**Your expertise**
- 1 or more years of experience in Financial modeling- Eagerness to learn and should be self-motivated - must be eager to learn
- Strong interest in Financial statement and company analysis, investments
- Advanced excel skills
- Excellent English (written and spoken)- Working experience with financial databases such as S&P CapIQ, Factset, Bloomberg
- Programming experience is required in R/Python and excel VBA
- Visualization tool like Tableau would be added advantage
- Should be clear with statistical concepts and have the ability to work with large datasets
- Organized and able to work independently and take complete ownership
- Methodical with strong attention to detail
- Ideally Experience in similar role is preferred, but not required
- CFA is preferred but not required
