We are looking for a skilled **Machine Operator** to join our manufacturing team. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery used in the production process. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment will be key to ensuring production runs smoothly and safely.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Machine Setup & Operation**:
- Set up and operate machines according to production specifications and safety guidelines.
- Ensure that machines are properly calibrated and adjusted for optimal performance.
- Start and stop machines at the beginning and end of production runs.
- **Production Monitoring**:
- Monitor machine operations to ensure they are running smoothly and producing quality output.
- Inspect materials, parts, or products for defects, ensuring they meet company quality standards.
- Make adjustments to machines as needed to maintain consistent production output.
- **Maintenance & Troubleshooting**:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure machines operate at peak efficiency.
- Identify and troubleshoot any mechanical issues or malfunctions, and take corrective actions.
- Report any significant breakdowns or needed repairs to maintenance personnel.
- **Quality Control**:
- Conduct regular quality checks during production to ensure products meet specifications.
- Document production data and quality checks to maintain accurate records.
- Report any deviations from standard operating procedures (SOPs) or quality issues to the supervisor.
- **Safety & Compliance**:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and operating procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Ensure all machines are in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- **Collaboration & Communication**:
- Work closely with supervisors, maintenance teams, and other operators to meet production goals.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and resolve any issues promptly.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
**Requirements**:
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- **Experience**: Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- **Skills**:
- Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to operate and maintain machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or irregularities in production.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and production orders.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
**Working Conditions**:
- Ability to work in a **fast-paced production environment**.
- **Physical requirements**: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and handle machinery.
- Ability to work **flexible hours**, including night shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed.
- Must adhere to all **safety protocols**, including wearing required PPE.
