I. Work Responsibility of operator:
- 1. Daily Checking and ensuring that the Sewage is collected in the Collection tank.

2. Following which the below procedure to be followed as per the SOP for further treatment of sewage

water

3. Sewage is first screened through a bar screen and grit chamber to avoid entry of plastic, stones,

paper in the system.

4. Sewage is then collected in the Collection tank. This tank helps to equalize all streams so that

constant effluent is loaded to aeration tank.

5. Sewage is pumped into the Bio-Reactor Tank having diffused aeration

system. Air is supplied in the Aeration tank with the help of Roots Blowers and diffusers. At

this Aeration tank fine diffusers are installed; this helps to reduce COD/BOD values by 80
- 85%.

6. Overflow of the Aeration tank is taken into the Settling Tank, which is fixed and inclined type

where settling of floating solids takes at a faster rate.

7. Clear supernatant from tube settler/ lamella clarifier is collected in filter feed tank.

8. Further it will be pumped into the Pressure Sand Filter (PSF) & Activated Carbon Filter (ACF)

for tertiary treatment. Traces of solids get trapped in Pressure sand filter and remaining odour

and colour will be removed in Activated carbon filter. This system works as polishing tertiary

treatment.

9. The treated water used for gardening purpose /Process.

10. The sludge from the clarifier is recycled into the MBBR Tank.

11. The excess sludge will be dried using sludge drying equipment/sludge drying bed and will be used as manure for gardening purpose.

12. Reporting of smooth operation of STP in Auto/Manual mode by visual inspection.

13. Backwashing of filter to be done manually by operating the valves once a day.

14. Daily log sheet regarding operation of equipment’s and plant condition to be filled and

maintained.

15. Any problem with respect to STP to be immediately reported to respective area incharge from

Environment department.

16. Sludge bags to emptied monthly. Record of the same to be updated on daily log-sheet

17. Quality of water to be checked on daily basis through visual inspection. Sample to be taken

from inlet and outlet of STP for purpose of analysis once a month and for DO fortnightly.

Sample will be analyzed for the below mentioned parameters. Once analysis is received the

same to be updated on daily log-sheet.

**Salary**: ₹8,289.90 - ₹20,266.12 per month
