**Job Title**: In-House Legal Counsel

**Location**: Bengaluru or Ahmedabad

**Experience**: 4-7 Years

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Filing and managing cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
- Handle legal matters related to both secured and unsecured lending, with a thorough understanding of the Indian lending landscape.
- Drafting, revising, and negotiating legal agreements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage debenture-related legal matters, including knowledge of secured and unsecured debentures.
- Send and respond to legal recovery notices for overdue payments, collaborating closely with the collections team.
- Represent the company in arbitration proceedings and provide guidance on dispute resolution strategies.Provide general legal advice to the business, focusing on risk management and legal recovery.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- 4-7 years of relevant experience in the lending or financial services industry.
- Proven experience in handling legal recovery cases and working with collections teams.
- Strong knowledge of arbitration proceedings and dispute resolution in both secured and unsecured lending contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high-paced startup environment.Excellent drafting and negotiation skills for legal agreements.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Prior experience working with legal recovery teams.
- Strong knowledge of Indian legal procedures in relation to financial recoveries.
