In-House Legal Counsel

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to manage all internal legal and compliance matters for our organisation. This role involves drafting, reviewing, and vetting legal documents, preparing applications and filings, representing the company in proceedings, and coordinating with senior advocates and external legal advisors.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and coordination skills, be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to independently manage a wide range of legal responsibilities. They should have a strong understanding of regulatory processes, property laws, and commercial law.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and vet contracts, agreements, affidavits, and applications.
- Handle compliance-related work across corporate, real estate, and regulatory matters.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, hearings, and government offices when required.
- Prepare and file applications, petitions, and responses with accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain organised legal records and case files.
- Coordinate with senior advocates, external counsel, and consultants to ensure smooth handling of ongoing matters.
- Monitor changes in relevant laws/regulations and keep management updated.
- Provide strategic legal advice to management on various transactions and disputes.
- Essential Qualifications:
- LL.B. degree (LL.M. preferred but not mandatory).
- Enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of India.
- 3+ years of experience in litigation, compliance, or corporate law (real estate exposure preferred).
