Introduction:
The role holder will be recognised as a technical expert in their area of expertise i.e. Reporting. The role holder will undertake tasks that cross SBU / Cluster within Barclays Partner Finance and will produce regular analysis of key business issues to support the delivery of business strategy and performance.

What will you be doing?
- To be the primary contact for the end to end process for delivering the internal reporting requirements of the business.
- Performance reporting for internal BPF stakeholders (Monthly ExFo and MBRs) and to external stakeholders such as Central team & Planning team.
- Managing the month end close process, including preparing, posting and reviewing of journals, producing daily result against outlook schedules (Wd1-Wd5) with insightful commentary explaining the story behind the numbers, and supporting other colleagues with their month end responsibilities and ensuring they are delivered on time.
- Will also be responsible for preparing the formal monthly Performance slides that are used in ExFo reviews and MBRs. This includes explaining performance for all elements of the P&L (Income, cost and impairment) and also the key business drivers.
- Undertake Ad-hoc analytics regarding business performance. To offer insight into risks and opportunities that may impact the business’ ability to deliver on its financial commitments.
- Support on the development of internal reporting suite using advanced Dashboarding tools (Tableau) and automate manual processes using ETL tools (Alteryx)
- Ensure all controls and check points in all working files

What we’re looking for:

- Commercial and Financial acumen
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Exposure to Dashboarding and Transformation project
- Understanding of value based management techniques
- Problem solving, analytical skills and financial analysis
- Proven influencing, relationship building and communication skills with senior stakeholder management
- Extremely high attention to detail and levels of accuracy
- Advanced communication - Influencing / Negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and without further supervision

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Professional qualification (CIMA, CFA, ACCA, ACA, MBA) qualification or similar
- Experience of card or financial services
- Broad business and industry knowledge and experience
