**Job Description**:

- Review and validate chemical data packages in accordance with United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) guidance to ensure compliance with published analytical methods and usability of environmental data
- Upload laboratory analytical data to a specific client and regulatory databases
- Manage data in relational database systems like Earthsoft EQuIS or Microsoft Access
- Manipulate electronic data deliverables to create report-ready tables and visualizations
- Participate in the development of new data management workflows and automated tools
- Prepare technical memoranda and white papers to be included in client deliverables
- Develop new data management workflows and automated tools
- Task management: Assign and manage workloads of chemistry staff
- Use analytical data to determine forensic source area characterization
- The project chemist will support quality assurance/quality control, data management, data analysis, and various analytical chemistry aspects of environmental investigations for our clients.
- You’ll be valued as a unique resource as you contribute and support our project teams by providing key technical assistance for various environmental remediation and monitoring projects.
- You’ll interact with technical experts to refine field sampling and test plans, coordinate between multiple projects and laboratories to ensure analysis and testing is performed without a hitch and be the technical liaison between the laboratories and project teams.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s/Masters Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or another related discipline
- 2-5 years of relevant experience and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education
- Knowledge of environmental chemistry principles (i.e., environmental fate and transport)
- Knowledge of analytical chemistry principles (i.e., quality assurance and quality control)
- Familiarity in data validation, data review, field screening, data management, and sampling
- Experience using relational databases such as EQuIS or Microsoft Access
- Experience evaluating organic vapor analyses
- Experience interpreting
