**About the role**
- We're seeking an outstanding Finance Systems Architect known for their expertise in crafting technology solutions. Your main task will involve designing architectural solutions for finance systems, focusing on scalability and strategic benefits in both the short and long term. You'll work closely with stakeholders, system owners, and product vendors to gather requirements, evaluate systems, and create strategic, scalable solutions. Keeping up with industry trends and best practices will be crucial for continuously improving our finance systems.

You will also:

- Architect innovative solutions within the finance systems domain, aligning technology with business objectives to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and drive strategic growth.
- Design complex solution architectures made up of integrations between multiple systems.
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and execution of projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of creativity, functionality, and sustainability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including technical specifications, user guides, and system architecture diagrams.
- Document system requirements, processes, and workflows to ensure clarity and facilitate effective communication among team members.
- Create exceptional cross-team collaboration and communication. Partner with all required stakeholders, system owners, and product vendors to drive role clarity, account coverage, & project assignment.
- Guide and empower your team members to fast-track innovation programs to production. This includes providing direction on architectural design, offering technical recommendations, addressing blockers, and coordinating technical resources.
- Partner with the data analytics team to develop and manage appropriate performance and efficiency metrics for functional process domains to drive operational excellence.
- Comfortable and effective communicator with all stakeholders, Enterprise Architects, Developers, Product Vendors, and IT Management.
- Benchmark with industry peers on best practices to build a best-in-class systems architecture for the Finance Systems team.

**Competencies**
- Overall 10+ years of experience where 4+ years of experience in Solution Architecture is mandatory and rest of the experience in the below areas are desired.
- Designing, configuring, and implementing various products in the Finance Systems portfolio, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Asset Management, Collection, Tax, and Inventory.
- Mastery in finance-related technologies, including ERP systems, financial planning and analysis (FP&A) tools, financial reporting systems, databases, and relevant programming languages.
- Deep understanding and knowledge of business process and system architecture in support of finance-related value streams - Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Plan to Report.
- Ability to define problems effectively, curate and analyze relevant data, establish facts, and draw valid and concrete conclusions to make and support sound recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to comfortably interface with internal and externals clients and present to executive management.
- Demonstrates proven ability to manage multiple, often competing project workloads and activities.
- System experience with Intacct, Blackline, Avalara, Stripe, MS SQL, & API is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills; a background in business management, budgeting, and analysis is a strong plus.
