**Service Advisor Job Description**
Service advisor should to act as the connection between our customers and workshop manager. The service advisor's responsibilities include greeting customers, listening to requests, estimating costs and conducting inspections. The service advisor will ensure customer service by working with customers to determine their vehicle issues and problems, determining the repair timeline, and working with workshop manager to convey the customers' concerns with accurate repair descriptions.
To be a successful service advisor, you should have excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills. You should also have a strong understanding of automotive technology and of the automotive industry.
**Service Advisor Responsibilities**
- Greeting customers and attend with direct reception to the customer.
- Consulting with workshop manager regarding necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive repairs.
- Using your knowledge of our products and services to sell or provide in-depth information about available material and service options to customers.
- Answering questions about service outcomes and scheduling vehicle according to workshop load, Ask from client regarding vehicle drop-off, and vehicle pick-up.
- Opening the job card and share necessary estimate share to customer and take the written approval from customer and coordinate with workshop manager about the required work in the car.
- Providing customers with information and advice on warranty protections, potential cost savings, and the advantages of trading in versus fixing their car.
- Managing and overseeing the workshop workflow and schedule.
- Calling customers to advise them about work done/changes of car delivery if need more time for the work before 1 day prior and car pick-up times.
- Maintaining positive customer relationships to ensure repeat business.
- Ensuring all details on services rendered and costs are related to customers and processing their payments.
- Liaising with workshop manager about parts ordering and ensuring parts are available when needed.
- Make the Pre-invoice and share to customer as per shared last approved estimate before 3-4 hours of car delivery time.
- Greetings to the customer and show the work which performed by the workshop.
- Generate the final invoice with the gate pass.
- Clear the payments in accounts department with the customer during the car delivery.
- In terms of credit facility, submit the invoice to account and gate pass make ready before customer arriving.
- In case of new customer credit, take the advance approval from your superior before customer arrival, and make the all-paper formalities ready before customer arrived.
- Handover the gate pass to security guard at the time of car releasing from workshop.
- Help to accounts team for the payment follow-up’s
**Service Advisor Requirements**
- **An associate's degree in mechanics or a related field may be advantageous.**:
- Experience in the automotive field may be advantageous.
- **A strong understanding of automotive technology and the automotive industry.**:
- Proficiency with industry-specific software.
- **Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.**:
- Strong organizational, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
- **The ability to communicate with workshop staff, customers, and management.**
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
