**Responsibilities**:
**Library Management**:Assist the Head Librarian in organizing and maintaining the library's physical and digital collections.
Catalog and classify new materials using standard library classification systems and software.
Ensure the library space is organized, inviting, and conducive to learning.

**Resource Acquisition**:Collaborate with teachers and administrators to identify and acquire relevant resources that support the school's curriculum and educational goals.
Manage the procurement, ordering, and processing of books, periodicals, digital resources, and multimedia materials.

**Circulation Services**:Oversee the circulation desk, including checking books in and out, renewing materials, and managing reservations.
Educate library users on proper borrowing procedures and library policies.

**Reference and Information Services**:Assist students and staff in locating appropriate resources for research and learning projects.
Provide guidance on effective information search strategies and proper use of reference materials.

**Library Programs and Events**:Collaborate with teachers to organize and support library-related programs, such as reading challenges, book clubs, and author visits.
Plan and execute library events that promote reading culture and information literacy.

**Library Technology**:Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of library technology, such as computers, printers, and library management software.

**Collection Development**:Assist in evaluating the library's collection to ensure it remains current, relevant, and aligned with the needs of the school community.
Identify gaps in the collection and propose additions or updates.

**Administrative Tasks**:Maintain accurate records of library usage, acquisitions, and circulation statistics.
Assist with inventory management and periodic stock-taking.

**Qualifications**:

- **Bachelor's (BLib) or Master's (MLib) degree in Library and Information Science.**:

- Previous experience working in a school library environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with library management systems and cataloging practices.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in digital resources and technology commonly used in libraries.
- Passion for promoting reading, information literacy, and a love for learning.
- Collaborative and customer-oriented approach.
