**Role & responsibilities**

Oversee the quality control function and manufacturing quality function to meet quality standards for materials, products, NPD (New Product Development) and Manufacturing process, FG (Finish Goods), Packing, Logistics Quality, mock-ups, etc.,

**Key Roles and Responsibilities**:
1. Formulate and set quality policies according to global furniture quality standards and legal regulations for quality control function.

2. Lead special inspection tool design process.

3. Manage all incoming material and component inspection activities, and develop and manage new product test activities including new Fabric Application test, Hardware Application Testing, Wood test, Ply test, Load testing, Stress testing etc.
- **Wood and Wood-Based Materials**:Inspecting the type of wood used and signs of damage.
- **Upholstery and Fabrics**: Assessing the fabric quality, stitching, and overall upholstery finish.
- **Metal Components**:Checking for rust, cracks, or sharp edges in metal parts of the furniture.

**Structural Integrity check**:

- **Frame and Joint Stability**:Ensuring that the frame is sturdy and joints are securely fastened.
- **Load-Bearing Capacity**:Verifying that the furniture can support the intended weight without failure.
- **Fastener Strength**: Checking the strength of screws, bolts, and other fasteners used in assembly.

**Finishing and Surface Evaluation**:

- **Surface Smoothness and Finish Consistency**:Ensuring a smooth and uniform finish without rough spots or irregularities.
- **Stain and Scratch Resistance**: Testing the resistance of the surface to stains and scratches.
- **Colour fastness and Fading**:Verifying that the colour of the furniture remains consistent and does not fade easily.

4. Manage the disposal of non-conforming material, components and products, ensuring that company and product quality requirements are met.

5. Monitor the verification and follow-up of quality issues occurring at the production line and customer sites, ensuring all open issues can be closed in a timely manner.

6. Interface with suppliers/OEMs on inspection methods, test report requirements in technical agreements, master sample sign-off, on-site inspections, sorting arrangement, and products disposal method.

7. Manage inspection activities to support projects, quality improvement and cost saving

8. Keep drawing issues record and feedback to Product and Design team on immediate basis to drive improvement.

9. Manage and provide material/component test/inspection report to the team for Marketing promotional purpose.

10. Manage manufacturing quality: process audit, product audit, developing and updating inspection working instructions and control plans, quality awareness training, process non-conformity goods disposal, etc;
11. Oversee Mock-up/Control Sample quality inspections.

12. Participate in annual internal audit as internal auditor to ensure that quality management system effectiveness is up to ISO9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, FSC, BIFMA, etc., requirements.

13. Compliance with Standards and Safety Regulations
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering
- Minimum 7-8 years
- experience in Furniture Industry.
- Must have deep furniture QC knowledge
- **Knowledge on AUTOCAD, BIFMA standards and Raw material is mandatory.**

**Salary**: ₹500,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
